Sitting at the edge of the bay, on the water’s edge, the site offered sweeping views for miles beyond. All of the internal spaces of the house are oriented towards the bay view. We took this project down to studs, replacing all of the doors and windows, the deck, kitchen, and bathrooms. We worked very carefully with the original 1963 design, creating elements both sympathetic to the original, and still contempory to today's standards. By extending both floor and ceiling materials through the planes of glass, we extended the interior into the exterior.
